Nature Based Solutions | £25,000- £30,500 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for two great candidates to join our Nature-based Solutions team as an Associated Programme Officer

The successful applicants will contribute to the work of the large and growing team focused on the Centre’s Nature-based Solutions (NbS) Impact Area. This team of 26 people is responsible for an ambitious portfolio of work on the role of nature in helping to address climate change and other societal challenges, which includes work on ecosystem-based adaptation to climate change (EbA), climate change mitigation and nature for health and well-being. You should have a good understanding of key biodiversity and environmental issues and concepts, especially in relation to biodiversity conservation, climate change and climate policy and sustainable development. You should be able to develop literature-based research and/or synthesis and analysis of data relevant to nature-based solutions and you should demonstrate an ability to contribute to high quality outputs such as reports and reviews. You should be fluent in written and spoken English and, ideally, you should have experience in working in another UN language, such as French, Spanish, Portuguese and/or Russian. Experience of developing project proposals would be also valued. This position will give you the opportunity to contribute to a portfolio of high-profile and innovative projects that support effective decision making on NbS, and to support the development of new work and contribute to shaping the future direction of our work in these areas.
