AD1513 IBAT Marketing and Communications Officer

Nature Economy

Nature Economy | £30,500 to GBP £36,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience

Eighteen years ago, a ground-breaking alliance between UNEP-WCMC, BirdLife International, Conservation International and the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) launched the Integrated Biodiversity Assessment Tool  (IBAT). This tool integrates data from globally authoritative biodiversity datasets – the World Database on Protected Areas (WDPA), World Database of Key Biodiversity Areas (KBAs) and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species – into a single portal to support decision-makers from industry, finance, and governments.

IBAT’s mission is to provide data, tools and guidance that help organisations act on biodiversity-related risks and opportunities, and to generate sustainable funding to support biodiversity data sets. Today, IBAT continues to provide an innovative solution, providing authoritative biodiversity information to decision-makers and organisations around the world. To help more organisations take positive action for nature and raise critical funds for reinvestment back into the datasets, IBAT is seeking a dedicated Marketing and Communications Officer to help accelerate its growth.

The MarComms Officer will work as part of the IBAT Engagement team to engage existing and prospective users and build awareness of IBAT’s science-backed insights, products, and services in new and existing markets.
